Hussey Seating Company Donates $50,000 Worth of Folding Chairs to Maine Hospitals in Need During Covid-19 Outbreak
North Berwick, ME – As a 185-year-old and 7th generation family-owned Maine business, Hussey Seating Company takes community support seriously and is reaching out to Maine hospitals and testing facilities to offer their support during the COVID-19 outbreak. The company will donate $50,000 worth of metal folding chairs to facilities in need over the next several days.
Recognizing that both the waiting room volume and number of temporary facilities are on a sharp rise during the COVID-19 outbreak, Gary Merrill, President and CEO of Hussey Seating Company stated, “As a long-standing Maine business, we feel very connected to our community. I’m hoping that with this donation, we can play our small part in the fight against COVID-19. When you’ve been a business in Maine as long as we have, everyone from Kittery to Caribou is a neighbor.”
Merrill has contacted Maine hospital CEOs and is encouraging them and other medical and/or testing facilities in need to request free chairs. Hussey Seating will donate the $50,000 worth of metal folding chairs on a first come first serve basis. Facilities in need should visit www.husseyseating.com/covid19 to put in their request.
