DESIGNING GYMNASIUMS FOR TELESCOPIC SEATING SYSTEMS

Learning Objective: This course aims to understand the five standard applications of telescopic seating systems and gain knowledge of ADA solutions, code compliance, sight-line importance, and the effect of seat options and accessories.

SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS & DESIGNING INSIGHTS FOR TELESCOPIC SEATING SYSTEMS

Learning Objective: The purpose of this course is to develop a clear understanding of the critical structural design elements and Life Safety Standards used to produce telescopic seating systems that Maximize Public Safety and help Minimize Liability and Risk. This presentation will share information and establish a solid foundation and clear understanding of the critical structural design elements and ICC 300 system loading requirements incorporated to produce telescopic seating systems designs. This program will educate you on what decisions need to be considered and what questions you should ask that will help you specify a world-class, safe telescopic seating system for your customer and their patrons.

DESIGNING VENUES FOR FIXED-CHAIR SEATING SYSTEMS

Learning Objective: This course aims to develop a clear understanding of fixed chair systems and seating solutions available to serve unique markets and applications, as well as gain knowledge about seating layouts, ADA, code requirements, ergonomics, and accessories.   This presentation will share our collective knowledge and industry expertise regarding upholstered seating solutions, the markets, unique applications and requirements, product configurations, seating design and the effect on project layouts including site-lines, chair sizing and calculating chair lengths, solutions for integrating ADA seating, the effect on proper ergonomics and long-term sitting comfort.

2.5 DAY | AIA IMMERSIVE LEARNING | FACTORY TOUR & VENUE VISITS | AIA CEU PRESENTATION PORTFOLIO IN REVIEW

Learning Objective: 

Arriving for your 2.5 DAY | AIA FACTORY TOUR & SITE VISIT program, you will be picked up at either Boston, Logan Jetport [83 miles] or Portland Maine International Jetport [28 miles] and enjoy some local history and a sightseeing tour of the beautiful Kennebunk and Kennebunkport, Maine summer home of President Bush. You will stay at the Kings Port Inn, Kennebunk, Maine a short walk to Kennebunk Beach, Kennebunkport Square with many local shops, restaurants, and pubs. All meals will be provided by Hussey Seating Company during your visit. You will have the chance to enjoy Fresh Maine Lobsters and a wide variety of local seafood if desired. The factory is in North Berwick, Maine [15 miles] via a scenic drive from the hotel.

During the AIA Factory Tour & Venue Visit program, you will have the opportunity to customize your experience to receive a total of either 6 or 7 AIA CEU HSW credits while learning about DESIGNING GYMNASIUMS FOR TELESCOPIC SEATING SYSTEMS, SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS & DESIGNING INSIGHTS FOR TELESCOPIC SEATING SYSTEMS, DESIGNING VENUES FOR FIXED-CHAIR SEATING SYSTEMS, BEST PRACTICES & DESIGN TRENDS FOR TELESCOPIC SEATING SOLUTIONS IN PUBLIC VENUES, BEST PRACTICES & DESIGN TRENDS FOR FIXED SEATING SOLUTIONS IN PLACES OF ASSEMBLY.

The Factory Tour will illustrate safety and testing precautions incorporated in the design and manufacturing of Telescopic Seating Systems. We will follow up with installation visits to enhance the immersive learning process at a local University & High School to view Telescopic and Fixed Seating Solutions in action for additional immersive hands-on training and review of our AIA CEU HSW Portfolio of Presentations outlined above.
