Metro Telescopic and Fixed Seating - Upholstered

Sleek, slim, and easy to install, the Metro™ line is a giant leap towards getting the most out of your facility. Available in both telescopic and fixed versions Metro allows perfect continuity throughout a facility. Metro features whisper-quiet seat operation and fits in an amazingly tiny 5 ½" (140 mm) stored envelope.

Metro Telescopic and Fixed Seating - Polymer

The Metro is a rail-based system that is sleek, slim and easy to install. The entire seat is manufactured from advanced engineered polymers (available in 19 colours) it utilises the latest moulding techniques. It also features whisper quiet tipping and a fully concealed mechanism for health and safety purposes.

It can be used on Hussey Maxam+ telescopic platform, the MXP or with Hussey Seatway theatre quality retractable platform systems. Alternatively, the Metro chair is available in either tread or riser fixed formats for fixed seating applications.

Metro Upholstered Semi-Automatic Telescopic Seating

Provide the utmost in style and comfort for a few rows or your entire system. Available in upholstered or all-polymer versions on semi-automatic or foot assist mechanisms. Metro chairs fold and store in unit when closed. Requires 30" (76cm) - 33" (84cm) row spacing (varies by code). Metro may be deployed with or without arms and seat width is easily varied for ideal seating layout or to maximize capacity. Metro is available with a choice of either semi-automated (2-14 chairs) or manual (1-4 chairs) fold-down mechanisms.

Hussey's rail-based Metro seating system is the future—a seamless blend of engineering prowess and smart design — all with the flexibility to fit practically any field situation. Metro has a full line of arm options including plastic, upholstered and wood finishes, cupholders and many other accessories, and are available with polymer-finish seats and backs or upholstered back pads and seats featuring a comfortable sprung seat.

Metro chairs can be used on the Maxam+ telescopic platform, the MXP or with Hussey Seatway theater quality retractable platform systems. Alternatively, the the chair is available in either tread or riser fixed formats for fixed seating applications. Equipped with our folding tablet arm, Metro is a perfect complement for our Quattro fixed seating in a school auditorium setting, where MAXAM+’s telescopic platform delivers multi-use flexibility to these large spaces. Combinations of back and seat styles are also available to allow further differentiation of seating sections.

Metro’s innovative and distinctive design incorporates both comfort and style. The entire seat is molded using advanced engineering polymers.
2. Seat Width

Metro’s seat options are available in 18", 19", 20", 21", and 22", (457 mm, 475 mm, 500 mm, 525 mm, and 550 mm) standard widths (or any variation in-between).
3. Arm Rests & Cupholders

Metro has a full line of arm options including plastic, upholstered and wood finishes, as well as cup holders, and many other accessories.

5. Arm & Donor Plates

Arm plates are a perfect way to highlight seat numbers or show your appreciation for sponsors. From brass to brushed aluminum there are several styles available. Plates are attached with two mechanical fasteners; pop rivets for polymer arms and brads for hardwood arm inserts and provides an alternate solution for the facility and product design.
6. Seat Plate (Chair ID)

Each seat plate design has the capabilities of three alpha/numeric seat designations as required by the seating manifest.
7. Folding Mechanisms

Metro is available with a choice of either semi-automated (2-14 chairs) or manual (1-4 chairs) fold-down mechanisms.

Each end seat has the capabilities of alpha/numeric seat designations as required by the seating manifest.
