Stewart Middle School Cafetorium

Stewart Middle School faced the challenge of creating a space that served both as a cafeteria and an auditorium. They needed seating that effectively supported cafetorium use, Maximize space efficiency, providing room for performances while allowing the area to function as a dining space during the day.

Hussey Seating designed a seating system centered around the MAXAM+ telescopic platform and Metro Chairs. Key features included:

• Recessed MAXAM+ Platform: The telescopic platform was recessed to optimize space, allowing the seating to fully retract and store away when not in use, perfect for cafetorium settings.
• Upholstered Metro Chairs: These chairs not only provided exceptional comfort and support but also enhanced the overall look of the cafetorium. Their durability ensures that the seating can withstand frequent use, while the upholstered design elevates the aesthetics for performances and special events.
• Seamless Transition: The platform and seating system were engineered for easy and quick reconfiguration. Whether transitioning from a lunch setup to a performance or back to an open space in the cafetorium, it was a smooth process.

The collaboration between Stewart Middle School, and Nor-Pac Seating resulted in a cafetorium that is as functional as it is visually appealing. The MAXAM+ telescopic platform and Metro Chairs provide a sophisticated, auditorium-like atmosphere when needed, while retracting effortlessly to create a spacious dining area. The cafetorium seating allows for a multi-purpose space that can easily host both daily meals and community performances.
