Local Hussey Dealer: Lee Company
After many years of reliable use, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) needed to replace its outdated wooden bleachers at the Hilliard Gates Sports Center with a modern, durable, high-performance seating solution. The university partnered with Hussey Seating Company and local dealer, Lee Company, to renovate the existing platform and outfit it with modern seats for a more inviting experience for spectators.
IPFW wanted to upgrade their old wooden bleachers to improve the gymnasium's look, comfort, and durability. The new seating needed to handle heavy use while being versatile enough for different events. The challenge was to find a solution that maintained Hussey's trusted quality while bringing a modern upgrade to the facility.
Hussey Seating, with Lee Company, provided IPFW with Metro Chairs on MAXAM+ platforms and Courtside seats on MAXAM bleachers.
- Metro Chairs: Ergonomically designed for comfort, these chairs were mounted on MAXAM+ platforms telescopic platforms, allowing flexible seating configurations for various events, from sports to university assemblies.
- Courtside Seats on MAXAM bleachers: These polymer seats combine comfort and durability in a standard bleacher style, providing spectators with a better viewing experience.
This new seating solution improved the gym’s functionality and gave it a sleek, modern look.
The project at IPFW dramatically transformed the gymnasium. The Metro Chairs on the MAXAM+ platform provided the flexibility needed for different events, and coupled with the courtside seats on MAXAM the University can offer durable, comfortable seating for spectators.
